mysafeOS is software for running a jewelry business. It is operated by Carat Trade, Inc. in Miami, Florida. This page says plainly what we keep, why, who else touches it, and how to have it removed.
What mysafeOS stores
Only what your business puts into it:
- Your business records — inventory, photos and videos, clients, memos, quotes, invoices, appraisals, tasks, and your document settings.
- Your account — the email you sign in with, a securely hashed password (we never see it in plain text), and the settings for two-step sign-in.
- Connection details — if you connect QuickBooks or Shopify, the access keys those services issue so mysafeOS can act for you, and the reference numbers that link a record here to its copy there.
We don’t run advertising, and we don’t use tracking cookies or analytics that follow you across other sites. The only cookies mysafeOS sets are the ones it needs to keep you signed in and to complete a connection safely.
QuickBooks and Shopify
These connections are off until you switch them on, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings.
- QuickBooks: mysafeOS sends the invoices you create, and records their payments when you mark them paid. It reads from QuickBooks only what it needs to do that, such as your company’s name and the customer each invoice is for.
- Shopify: mysafeOS lists the pieces you choose to show on your website, keeps them in step with your inventory, and brings website orders back as invoices.
Information from these services is used only for those tasks, for your business. It is not used for anything else.
Who else handles your data
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except the services that run mysafeOS or that you connect yourself:
- Supabase — the database, file storage and sign-in.
- Vercel — hosts the app and runs it.
- Intuit (QuickBooks) and Shopify — only if you connect them.
We would disclose information if the law required it, and only what was required.
How it’s protected
- Everything between your device and mysafeOS travels encrypted (HTTPS).
- Sign-in supports two-step verification with an authenticator app.
- Each business’s records are kept separate. That separation is enforced twice — by the app and by the database itself — so one business can’t reach another’s records.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will tell you promptly.
Your records are yours
You can export a full backup from Settings at any time. To have your account and your business’s data deleted, email info@carattrade.com from the address on the account. We’ll confirm the request with you, then delete it from mysafeOS and disconnect any QuickBooks or Shopify connection. Copies already sent to QuickBooks or Shopify live in those accounts, which you control. Backups held by our hosting providers age out on their own schedule.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and tell account owners in the app or by email.
